Monty Hamilton honored for his work to build onshore software development
ATLANTA (February 15, 2021) – Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing, will be inducted into the IAOP Leadership Hall of Fame. The unique honor recognizes individuals for their outsourcing achievements as well as their contributions to community-based economic development. As leading global technology association, IAOP is keenly aware of Hamilton’s contributions to the industry and his role as the leading voice in onshore software development.

Hamilton started on this journey at Rural Sourcing more than 12 years ago in a “tin shack” in Arkansas. Over the past few years, he has grown the company to include six software development centers and 700 colleagues. With this growth, Hamilton has remained focused on the company’s mission to bring technology jobs to new parts of the country. He remains a strong supporter of building technology careers in Middle America and supporting the communities in which Rural Sourcing operates.
“It’s been quite the journey and it’s one that we’re going to continue,” said Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing. “At Rural Sourcing, we believe in our mission—to bring technology jobs to Middle America. No one should have to choose between a location they love and the vocation they dream of. Since I first worked with the IAOP to start the domestic outsourcing chapter, we have seen tremendous growth in this sector. I am thankful for the guidance of Debi Hamill and so many others. Of course, none of this would be possible without the commitment and work of the entire Rural Sourcing team that made the dream a reality. On behalf of that team, I am proud to join the Leadership Hall of Fame.”
With a mature, U.S.-based model, Rural Sourcing provides a low-risk, high-collaboration solution for clients, while delivering the quality and responsiveness that are needed in today’s fast paced digital world. In 2019, Bain Capital Double Impact, the impact investing business of Bain Capital, acquired a majority stake in Rural Sourcing allowing the company to further scale its national footprint and digital service offerings while creating high-quality jobs and new technology corridors across the country.
“The IAOP Leadership Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who represent the highest quality of professionals in the outsourcing industry, globally,” said Debi Hamill, IAOP CEO. “They are leaders in both business and in society. We congratulate our latest Hall of Fame inductees as they are at the forefront of advancing practices, which are a model for all organizations.”
Along with Hamilton, IAOP inducted Angela Mangiapane, president, Mars Global Services at Mars and Marsha Clark, consultant, EY, into the Leadership Hall of Fame. The induction will take place through IAOP’s online OWS21 platform during the Awards Ceremony on Thursday, February 18th.
Established by IAOP in 2006, The Hall of Fame continues to grow globally and now has close to 40 members in its ranks. Recipients of The Leadership Hall of Fame are selected by IAOP’s Advocacy & Outreach Committee and include buyers, advisors and outsourcing service providers from around the world. Visit IAOP’s website for the Wall of Fame, which includes all inductees.
