Innovative Software Company Modernizes the Nursery Industry

Scum-as-a-Service

challenge

Seeking an Application to Provide Actionable Data

Many companies selling nursery products to big box retailers operate under a vendor managed inventory system, where they bear the responsibility of optimizing inventory levels. Digital transformation in this industry is typically very slow, so retailers’ demand for actionable data and limited market options created an opportunity to invent a modern Cloud-based solution. Utilizing their deep knowledge of the nursery industry, our client sought to build a SaaS-based inventory replenishment system that would provide nurseries with advanced analytics and modern data visualization. In order to adjust to the seasonality of the nursery industry, their launch date was extremely aggressive. This required an experienced team who could work efficiently to meet this tight deadline.

solution

An Emphasis on User Experience and Scalability

Our multidisciplinary Scrum-as-a-Service® team designed an application that was scalable and customized to our client’s exact needs and timeline. We leveraged the most current front-end, API, and Cloud-based technologies to offer a cross-platform application with seamless integrations and intuitive user experience.

results

By providing real-time data (and outperforming the only competitor in this space), the application has given nurseries of all sizes access to best-in-class technology and a better understanding of the appropriate inventory to ship each day. The client continues to utilize our colleagues as their development team on an ongoing basis.
