An Accumulation of Various Standalone Software Applications

BrandSafway is a global company that delivers access and scaffolding systems, forming and shoring, industrial services, and related solutions to more than 30,000 customers worldwide. With $5 billion in annual revenue and 35,000 employees, BrandSafway is the leader in their field.

Over the years, BrandSafway had accumulated various standalone software applications due to acquisitions. Because of the complexity of these applications and a lack of documentation, offshore partners were a poor option. BrandSafway had also experienced a rise in attrition with contract resources due to the maintenance and support requirements of their aging applications, which were scheduled to sunset within the next few years.

Scrum-as-a-Service® Provides Talent and Value

Sparq’s Scrum team provided the right mix of talent and value to become the technology partner of choice for BrandSafway. Utilizing one of our multidisciplinary Scrum-as-a-Service® teams, Sparq quickly captured the knowledge transfer from an incumbent partner to learn the application architecture, document tribal knowledge, then take on support tickets, build out user stories and develop, test and deploy into production.

Successful Transfer Leads to Additional Engagement

BrandSafway was seeking a low-risk, high-value alternative to offshore and local consultants, and Sparq was the partner to help them improve quality and minimize risk. After the successful transfer of support, maintenance, and development for the Strategic Tracking System written in Java, BrandSafway expanded their relationship with Sparq by adding the SafQuote application for our team to support requests, prioritize incoming requests, and continuously deliver against an existing backlog.
