First-of-its-Kind Digital Solution Makes Handoff Processes Easier

challenge

CREATING A FLEXIBLE HANDOFF PLATFORM FROM SCRATCH WITHIN THE BUDGET OF A NEW BUSINESS

Handoffs’ co-founders came up with an idea for a completely new solution to the market. This platform would make it easier for collaborators to exchange information about any open matter; whether it’s an open sales process, a newly hired onboarding or a redistribution of tasks after someone retired, this platform is meant to make organizing information easy and the handoffs even easier. The entrepreneurs that are leading this project didn’t have a team that could bring their vision to life and they had budget constraints that are typical with a new project. They decided to partner with our nearshore team to bring experienced people on board, in a flexible collaboration model and a cost-effective manner.

BUILDING A CUSTOM INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

We started by defining the technical needs for this project; our clients came up with great ideas and we brought solutions to the table. The first step was working in the wireframes and defining quality standards for the development process. Our design team was dedicated to understanding the solution’s main values and benefits to its users, so we could plan the tasks accordingly. At the same time, a team of developers started working on the creation of an MVP. This solution required a lot of integrations, since the platform obtains information from many sources and for it to be efficient, it has to be connected with CRMs and other tools users currently use.

MVP LAUNCHED TO FIRST-TIME CUSTOMERS

The client launched their platform to their first users and quickly acquired their first customers. The reviews so far have been positive, and show how much the users value this new solution: it saves time and increases the accuracy of the handoffs processes. In the platform, companies can set up templates of how their handoffs documents are going to look like, connect to their CRMs to share information, define who will receive the handoffs documents, and even create triggers for when certain handoffs should be sent and the platform will do the rest. Once the product’s first version was launched, we went through a review period and collected feedback from the users. This resulted in a new roadmap for growing the platform and adding relevant features such as an AI integration that could help the platform automatically take relevant information from external tools.
