ATLANTA, February 10, 2009 – Rural Sourcing Inc. (RSI), announced that it has selected industry veteran Monty Hamilton to take over as CEO. Hamilton was most recently, Regional Managing Partner at Clarkston Consulting, parent company of RSI. “Monty has been instrumental in the growth and leadership of Clarkston and will, no doubt, bring that same pattern of success, passion, and accomplishment to RSI,” said Tom Finegan, Chairman and Clarkston co-founder.
Hamilton joined Clarkston in 1995 after beginning his career at Accenture. He was instrumental in Clarkston’s growth from a small regional technology firm to a global consulting organization, serving clients in the Life Sciences and Consumer Goods industries. During his tenure the firm grew exponentially and is well recognized as a leader in the consulting industry. Hamilton started and led a number of different practice areas and managed some of the firm’s largest and most prestigious clients, including Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Georgia-Pacific, and Nokia. Equally important has been Monty’s demonstrated commitment to developing firm talent, by recruiting and mentoring many of the Clarkston’s current and emerging leaders. ”
I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to lead RSI, an industry innovator in the domestic sourcing space. This is a challenging time in our country’s history, and RSI has responded to that challenge by filling a market need to create jobs in America; while providing corporations, large and small, the opportunity to become more cost efficient in their use of technology,” said Monty Hamilton. “We are off to a great start in 2009, through our hard work and dedication and with the help of state, local and corporate leaders we fully expect to fulfill our vision of creating 3,000 new IT jobs across the United States over the next few years.”
Professionally, Hamilton is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Biomedical Partnership, and the Technology Association of Georgia. He also contributes to his community, where he is the past president of the board of directors for the Adaptive Learning Center, a school designed to meet the unique challenges of special needs children from birth to age six.
Mr. Hamilton holds an M.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a B.S. in business from Millsaps College.
