ATLANTA, January 25, 2011 – Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing, has been invited by the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship to participate in a round-table discussion on “Encouraging Entrepreneurship in Economically Disadvantaged, Rural and Under-Served Areas.” The round-table discussion will be held Thursday, Jan. 27, in Washington, DC.
The Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship seeks to promote and protect our nation’s innovators and job creators. The Committee is chaired by U.S Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) with ranking member, U.S Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME).
Topics planned for discussion include, but are not limited to: current and future government incentives and implications on entrepreneurial plans for locating and providing jobs in under-served, rural areas and the benefits to their long-term economic growth and financial well-being. Other companies expected to participate in the panel include Subway, IHOP, and American Express. Rural Sourcing will be the representative for the private sector entrepreneurial initiatives.
