Names Janet Pierce as Chief Engineering Officer; Derek Perry as Chief Technology Officer
ATLANTA (February 16, 2023) – Rural Sourcing has added two new C-Suite positions to align with the significant growth the company has seen over the past 24 months. Janet Pierce joins the company as Chief Engineering Officer and Derek Perry was promoted to Chief Technology Officer. The newly created roles will strengthen an already robust software engineering function by providing senior technical leadership, mentorship, and vision.
With double digit growth each year, Rural Sourcing is continuing to expand its presence nationally. The Chief Engineering and Chief Technology roles are critical to continuing this performance and fostering consistent best practices for delivery across the organization. With an emphasis on quality, Pierce and Perry will drive innovation for clients in the form of solution accelerators, tools and reusable assets.
“Our clients trust our technical expertise and insights,” said Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing. “As a result, we have invested in the Chief Engineering and Chief Technology roles to provide leadership over key areas of the digital engineering process. These newly created roles will support the company’s rapid growth and deliver high-quality software solutions for our clients.”
Pierce has a distinguished history in technology and software development. She started her career in application development for insurance giant Aflac. Over the past decade, she has held numerous leadership roles of increasing responsibility in IT applications and product development. Most recently, she served as vice president of software engineering for Paya.
Perry joined the company in 2012, overseeing one of Rural Sourcing’s largest engagements. In 2017, he transitioned to become the company’s first dedicated Solution Architect and a key member of the leadership team. Over the next five years, Perry held numerous roles within the company, last serving as Senior Vice President of Solution Engineering and Innovation.
“We are in a great place as a company,” said Derek Perry, Chief Technology Officer at Rural Sourcing. “Over the past decade, I have seen us grow into a leader in software product design and development. I look forward to working directly with our client CIOs, CTO’s and CPO’s to help craft cutting edge approaches and solutions for their businesses.”
“Rural Sourcing is a digital engineering powerhouse that delivers results for its clients,” said Janet Pierce, Chief Engineering Officer at Rural Sourcing. “Engineering excellence is at the heart of this success. In my role I will continue to support the company’s success, driving innovative and high-quality solutions for our clients.”
With a proven remote delivery model, Rural Sourcing provides a high level of control and collaboration for clients, while delivering the quality and responsiveness that are needed in today’s fast paced digital world. In 2019, Bain Capital Double Impact, the impact investing business of Bain Capital, acquired a majority stake in Rural Sourcing allowing the company to further scale its national footprint and digital service offerings while creating high-quality jobs and new technology corridors across the country.
