Rural Sourcing Expands with 2 New Software Development Centers

9th and 10th centers will be located in Baton Rouge, La. and Buffalo, N.Y.

ATLANTA (November 10, 2021) – Rural Sourcing, the leading provider of onshore outsourced digital engineering, announced that it will open its ninth and tenth development centers in Baton Rouge, La. and Buffalo, N.Y. These centers will each create 150 software development jobs that will provide solutions to its Fortune 1000 and technology-centric clients.

Rural Sourcing has seen significant growth over the past year. Despite a challenging business environment due to COVID-19, the company saw double-digit growth in 2020. In August 2021, the company announced its first acquisition, bringing Wisconsin-based Centare under the Rural Sourcing banner. The addition of two new centers fits with the company’s robust growth strategy that is focused on meeting the needs of U.S. companies for onshore software development.

“For the past 12 years, Rural Sourcing has delivered strategic software solutions from development centers in Middle America,” said Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing. “Opening centers in Baton Rouge and Buffalo falls in line with our growth strategy. As a mission focused company, we are bringing high paying technology jobs to places that otherwise would not have them. Our success is validation of this mission and the results we’ve been able to deliver for our clients.”

Baton Rouge and Buffalo, while hundreds of miles apart, share key elements that make them a great fit for Rural Sourcing. Before selecting the locations, Rural Sourcing leaders evaluated more than 50 cities looking at community, talent pool and quality of life. Through the analysis, Baton Rouge and Buffalo were at the top of the list.

“We chose these locations because of their rich and broad talent pools, supportive city and state leadership, and tech scenes where we can become a catalyst for growth,” said Ingrid Miller, President of Rural Sourcing. “The focus and investment in stem education at local levels, as well as state-level investment in software development talent make these great locations for us. We are planting a stake in the ground that will help these communities become nationally recognized for technology excellence.”

State and local officials have demonstrated a commitment to technology and building jobs in their communities.

“On behalf of Louisiana, I welcome Rural Sourcing to our state and to Baton Rouge,” said Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards. “As we work to strengthen and diversify our economy, I am proud that digital media and software development companies continue to find a home in Louisiana. Our highly skilled workforce, competitive resources and welcoming business climate will ensure that Rural Sourcing can hit the ground running on day one.”

“We welcome Rural Sourcing to Buffalo’s growing innovation economy,” said New York Governor Kathy Hochul.  “The company is creating high-quality jobs and new technology corridors across the country and we are proud that it has added Buffalo as its newest location to provide technology solutions and resources.  In the midst of the company’s major growth cycle, Buffalo offers an impressive IT ecosystem, workforce and higher education advantages, as well as low operating costs and high quality of life benefits.”

Permanent office locations have not been selected, but work is underway to begin hiring top talent. To learn more about open positions in Baton Rouge or Buffalo, visit https://teamsparqcom.wpengine.com/careers/.
