Rural Sourcing Hires John Lenzen as Chief Marketing Officer

Former Global CMO for TCS shifts to onshore IT outsourcing

ATLANTA (October 22, 2019) – Rural Sourcing, the leader in domestic software development, has hired technology outsourcing veteran John Lenzen to serve as Chief Marketing Officer. In the role, Lenzen will be responsible for amplifying Rural Sourcing’s visibility and reach, while creating effective marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth.

Lenzen has more than 20 years of experience building and managing marketing teams for startup, mid-sized and large software and services companies. Previously, Lenzen served as Global Chief Marketing Officer for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a large global IT outsourcing company. While at TCS he transformed and grew the capabilities of the Global Marketing function from 25 to over 300 people globally as the company expanded from $1.5 billion to more than $16 billion in revenue. Lenzen also held CMO roles with other technology firms such as CareerBuilder and WhittmanHart.

“John is an innovative marketing executive with a track record of delivering results and boosting revenue,” said Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing. “Having led marketing for one of the largest outsourcing companies in the world, John brings valuable experience that will help Rural Sourcing reach new audiences and expand its presence in markets around the U.S. I am excited to work with John as we continue our mission to bring technology careers to Middle America and value to our clients.”

Rural Sourcing is positioned to make an impact. With a mature, U.S.-based model, the company provides a high level of control and collaboration for clients, while delivering the quality and responsiveness that are needed in today’s fast paced digital world. Onshore software development fills a critical role in the IT outsourcing market by providing custom software solutions that are more secure and faster to value creation than offshore and nearshore options, while also bringing consistency, quality, and responsiveness to every project.

“Rural Sourcing is in a unique position,” said John Lenzen, chief marketing officer for Rural Sourcing. “As a mission focused organization, we are making a positive impact on the community and the country. Through our six development centers and domestic outsourcing model, Rural Sourcing will continue to expand as we share our story and deliver success to our clients.”

Over the past decade, Rural Sourcing has received numerous workplace awards—both on the local and national level—demonstrating the company’s commitment to delivering the best for its colleagues and clients.
